Choosing the perfect venue can be difficult, but here are some helpful things to keep in mind when choosing your venue.
1. The most important thing to remember is to ONLY look at venues within your budget. Looking at and falling in love with a venue that is out of your budget will only make it harder to choose. 2. See what all is included with each venue. Some offer tables, chairs, linens, set up and cleanup crews, place for your bridal party to get ready, place to stay the night before and after, ect. Bundling your options can help you save money in the long run. 3. The venue must fit your style/theme. Make sure the ambience will fit what you want your guest to fill. Ensure the decor already in the venue will go with your theme. 4. Ensure they have the date your wanting. Being flexible and having your wedding on any other day but Saturday can save you a lot of money! Remember to keep in mind the temperature of the time of year. (In the south there is love bug season and if your close to the each don't forget about the sand gnats). 5. If your having an outside wedding and/or reception, ensure there's a backup plan just I case it rains. 6. Ensure the venue can accommodate the number of guest your having. Keep in mind parking, bathrooms, lighting, inside temperature, emergency exits, number of waitresses & bartenders. 7. If you want to include alcohol, some venues will allow you to bring your own and some will have you use theres. Make sure your ok with their policy. 8. Ask for discounts. Some venues offer military, weekday or bundling discounts. Some venues will even give discounts or through extras in for free if you pay in full. 9. Also keep in mind the cancelation and refund policy just incase there are any cold feet.
